Summary/Abstract: Over the past fifty years, the use of natural materials worldwide has tripled, and the concept of a circular economy is based on sustainable resource management, reuse, and waste reduction. Although the circular economy offers significant potential, it faces numerous challenges such as insufficient infrastructure, lack of political support and awareness, and limited financial resources. To overcome these challenges, it is necessary to implement effective motivational techniques that will engage key stakeholders in the transition to sustainable development. A key motivational technique is education and raising awareness among the public, political leaders, and the private sector about the long-term benefits of a circular economy. Financial incentives, such as tax breaks for companies adopting circular economy principles or investments in green projects. There are various types of motivational techniques, but some of the more effective ones include goal setting and visualization, rewards, positive self-confidence, online support, self-discipline, inspiring stories, teamwork, and more. A collaborative arrangement between society, the private sector, and government institutions is crucial to overcoming barriers and ensuring a sustainable future in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
