Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the fragmentation and classification of the Serbian party system based on the results of the parliamentary elections in the first quarter of the 21st century, starting with the 2000–2001 elections, until the last ones, held in 2023. In the first part of the paper, some of the general data on the results of the analyzed elections are given. Subsequently, their empirical analysis was carried out, divided into two sections. Firstly, in the second section, a number of indicators of fragmentation were calculated and illustrated (the Lakso-Tageper index, the Molinaro index, the Dunleavy-Buček index, the Golosov index, as well as the fractionalization and hyperfractionalization indices). In the third section, based on Golos’s methodology, the classification of the party system of Serbia was carried out, the results of which demonstrated that in most of the considered elections, the party system of Serbia should be classified as multi-party, although it occasionally came close to systems with a dominant party, and in two cases (2000 and 2020) proved to be so.
