Summary/Abstract: Studying chronology in almost all ecclesiastical histories is one of the fundamental problems encountered by historians. Here, were address the issue of the so-called interregnum in the church of Salona that happened between AD 480 and AD 493. The paper will present the context of events that took place before this period and analyze source materials that offer little information about the so-called interregnum. The objective of the source analysis is to offer insight and an answer to the question of whether there was a hiatus in the church of Salona that lasted for a full thirteen years.
