Summary/Abstract: The article aims to understand the phenomenon ofpsychological burnout among children and adoles-cents in the context of cultural pressure for an idealbody. This pressure is intensified, among others,through social media messages, leading to bodyimage frustration and health problems among ad-olescents. Therefore, the main research problemof this article is the question of how the culturalimperative of an ideal body becomes a potentialfactor of psychological burnout among childrenand adolescents. The article uses a hermeneuticalcontent analysis of the literature, research, andstatistical data relating to the phenomenon. Theimplications for pedagogical practice indicate theneed to implement psychoeducational and preven-tive interactions in the critical reception of culturaland media messages relating to body image andbody care.
