Summary/Abstract: The research conducted by the Department of Journalism and New Media at FF UKF in Nitra examines the impact of the social environment on the critical thinking of university students, particularly in the reception of online media communications. The study, part of the KEGA project, involved a nationwide survey targeting students from various Slovak universities, focusing on socio-economic factors influencing critical thinking. The findings will be presented at an international scientific conference in October 2025 and will inform new methods for teaching.
