Summary/Abstract: This text deals with defining of the speaking subject and its importance for a literary work. If we start from understanding language as a dramatic phenomenon, taking over the tradition that lasts ever since Plato, then Wilhelm von Humboldt, and till Mihail Bahitn and Noam Chomski, the author defines the speaking subject and indicates the repressed line of thinking about this phenomenon, and also the inextricable connection of the approch to a literary work with the status that the speaking subject has in this approach.
