The Influence of Secularization on Upbringing

Summary/Abstract: The study characterizes the issue of secularization, emphasising the aspects that are important inrelation to upbringing. Some ways of understanding this problem are presented, taking into ac-count the history of the formation of semantic meanings of the word secularization, as well asthose whose importance results from the adoption of certain ideological positions, such as phil-osophical, religious and ideological ones. Some historical references have also been made in thisrespect. The main aim of the study is to approach the issue of secularization in accordance with itsnature as a sociological phenomenon and as a cultural process, both of which have consequences inupbringing and education. Some of the dangers of secularization for man, secular and ecclesiasticalcommunities, and even for religion and the state are also highlighted.
