Summary/Abstract: During World War II the Black Sea has represented for Romania and Spain an economic, military and cultural meeting point. Spain has found in Romania a useful trade partner rich in resources which the Iberian Peninsula lacked. Between the two countries a bridge was created springing from common views and common needs such as, in the case of Spain, the need for oil and cereals, in the case of Romania, the need for armaments. The Black Sea has facilitated the relations between the two Latin states thus playing in their intercourse a significant role.
