Summary/Abstract: Electoral rights are the basis of a truly democratic political regime; they represent the foundation of our society on which the other rights and freedoms of the individual are built. In this paper, we propose to analyze a series of specific virtues of such a regime from the perspective of the jurisprudence of the European Court of Human Rights: from the limitations of electoral rights to the rigors imposed on litigation in this matter.
