Summary/Abstract: The year 1946 represented one of the turning points of the Romanian society in the contemporary world. During that year, power instituted through blackmail and force on 6 March 1945 obtained, following some falsified elections, a politic official recognition on the inside; it was the base from which followed the transformation of the politic régime after the Stalinist method. This present study tries to reconstitute with the help of kept materials, especially in the Archive of the National Museum of Union from Alba Iulia, the way these elections took place in Alba Iulia. This campaign carried on a great political tension because both the B.P.D. and the historic parties (The National Peasants’ Party, the National Liberal Party) considered that the result of the elections was decisive for the fate of the politic régime from Romania. The hopes of the opposition parties, the hopes of the whole country, were swept away by fraud and lie of the Communists who modified the results and burnt the voting papers, leaving no proof to the opposition which claimed the success in the elections. Following these elections, Communism will be instituted in Romania for more than 40 years.
