An Anonymous 15th-Century Note on the Debate on the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary (Announcement)

Summary/Abstract: The paper includes the edition of an anonymous late-15th century text kept in a private collection. The text is a personal note and is divided into two parts: the first one is a draft of a letter to a certain dignitary regarding borrowing a book. It mentions unknown sermons of Wilhelm de Ulmo (?). The second part includes excerpts from commentaries of eminent canon lawyers Joannes Calderinus and Nicolò de’ Tudeschi (Panormitanus) on the celebration and the dogma of Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary announced by the Council of Basel in 1439.
