Summary/Abstract: The school as an organization is not only a physical place where employees and students stay every day, but a place where knowledge is transmitted, and data and facts are learned. The school is first of all a community in which cultural norms and values are transmitted, relationships are established between employees, and between students, and skills necessary for life in the general community are acquired. The complexity of the activity performed by schools requires a strong partnership among all members of that community, mutual support, honest and open communication, and commitment to a common goal. All these components affect the formation of a positive school climate and culture, as well as the organization of the teaching process, which implies planned and systematic action, and affect job satisfaction from a social aspect, which is reflected through the perception of the system by its members, but to a large extent it also affects the engagement of teachers and all employees in the performance of their work tasks, their commitment and dedication to their work. With this paper, we investigate and show what motivates the employees for their constant engagement and achieving visible results in the local environment in which the school operates, through the degree of engagement of all employees to perform extracurricular activities in the school for its affirmation in the environment.
