Summary/Abstract: The ontological argument is an argument that has been used to prove the existence of God. The most well-known version of this argument was formulated in the 11th century by St. Anselm of Canterbury. In this paper I will briefly present Descartes’ version of the ontological argument, and then I will consider and try to interpret some of Kant’s critical remarks about the argument.
