Summary/Abstract: The resurgence of Russian expansionist ambitions and the development of a modern-day ‘Axis of Evil,’ shaped by the Kremlin’s alliances with other authoritarian regimes, pose a significant threat to both target countries and overall global stability. In addressing them, NATO strives to identify new measures. However, existing security cooperation or assistance programmes have proven the lack of coordination, collectiveness, and efficiency. To stop Russian aggression in Ukraine and prevent other members of the new ‘Axis of Evil’ from attacking other sovereign nations, a systematic and efficient Western response is vital.
