ION CREANGĂ'S NAME AND MILITARY CAREER

Summary/Abstract: This material presents the military career of the descendants of the great storyteller, Ion Creanga, from his only son, Costache Creanga, reached the rank of major (r) and participant in the War of Integration and his two sons, Ion and Horia participants also in the War of Integration and until Constantin Mihăescu, the son of Horia Creangă's daughter, participant in the Second World War, reached the rank of army general. If on the main trunk of the branching tree, I identified the military careers presented above, on the secondary trunks of the Creanga people from Pipirig, reunited with that of Apetrii from Humuleşti, rich fruits representing various professions have grown and are growing: church servants, military, teachers, lawyers, civil servants, but especially thrifty people who carry on the fame of the old ones and keep in their soul the spirit of Ion Creangă.
