Summary/Abstract: The facts and acts of civil status have followed over the centuries, a long process of transformations and renewals for the Romanian people, based on numerous rules, codes of laws or regulations, which have followed the entire process of identifying the individual, by respecting and capitalizing on the real role of the person’s identity in the whole social life. Laws in the field of civil status and population records have been of particular importance both for the interests of the state and for the identification of individuals in the family and society, with the defense of their rights. This article is a study dedicated to the most important moments in the life of every person, namely birth, marriage and death, to which are added some unique civil status documents from the archives of the Church „St. Atanasie şi Chiril” from Iaşi, with the branch of the „Vulpe” Church.
