Summary/Abstract: Our article presents the heroic battle of Mărăști, one of the three great worldfamous victories obtained by the Romanian military in the summer of 1917. The paper consists of a description of the main military operations of the ten days of fighting carried out from July 9/22, 1917 to July 19/August 1, 1917, with an emphasis on the context and consequences of the battle. Within the description, the divisions and regiments with their involvement in battles are mentioned, as the leading strategist of the entire offensive operation in Mărăști, the commander of the 2nd Romanian Army, General Alexandru Averescu.
