Summary/Abstract: Both devices teleoperation and distance education for remote students are great challenges currently due to the progress of technologies and knowledge. In order to design a methodology for collaborative laboratories to implement multiple services in assisting distance learning on mechatronics, a study on current approaches for available mechanisms and interoperability assurance was planned. This paper reviews the available standards and protocols, compares the development platforms and e-learning service oriented approaches to be used in virtual training.
