Summary/Abstract: Under the conditions of global economy with a dominant role of knowledge the importance of human resources in the process of innovation and value creation is growing rapidly. At the same time there occurs a significant growth of the effort to recruit, develop and retain talented work force with the crucial importance for a company and its future development. This is the reason of the talent management introduction, i.e. activities aimed on the hidden human potential identification, its development and effective utilisation. The aim of this paper is to explain the role and importance of the talent management implementation in the company and to analyse the way of its application on the sample of the most successful enterprises in Slovak and Czech Republic.
