Summary/Abstract: The present paper presents the importance of museum pedagogy and the educational workshops for children that have been held, during two summers, at the „Iulian Antonescu” Museum Complex. Museum pedagogy has an important role in educating the local community, and not only, in the importance of patrimony and also it has a perfect role in passing down information about history, culture, spirituality and tradition in a creative and interesting way, unifying theory and practice. Within the paper we present two editions of the „Discover your Museum” project and its workshops that were held for children: in 2022 „On the footsteps of the Saints (archaeology)”, „The alphabet. A never ending story (ancient greek), The Cucuteni Art (archaeology), „From grandma’s chest” (ethnography and storytelling), and in 2023 „Cucuteni Fashion: The past inspires the present (archaeology)”, „Navigating the Black Sea (archaeology)” and „Sewing Stories” (ethnography and handmade gifts).
