Summary/Abstract: This study presents the process of deportation of Gypsies from Bacău, Roman and Neamţ counties in September 1942, in Transnistria. In the context of the outbreak of the Second World War and the installation of the Romanian administration in Transnistria, for the exploitation of the vast territories here and the supply of cheap labor, the Romanian authorities deported the nomadic Gypsies from Romania between 1942-1944, as well as some of the sedentary Gypsies considered „dangerous” for maintaining public order behind the front.
