The correspondence of Metropolitan Sofronie Miclescu with Archimandrite Nathanail, the Abbot of Neamț and Secu Monasteries

Summary/Abstract: This study aims to present 30 unpublished documents from the collections of The National Archives, Neamț County Service, Neamț Monastery repository, which recounts the correspondence of the Metropolitan Sofronie Miclescu with the Abbot Nathanail during the years 1853-1854. The study of the documents corpus of the Metropolitan Sofronie with the Archimandrite Nathanail highlights a series of aspects linked to the organization of some cultural manifestations, administrative and economic problems, as well as printing some religious books in the facilities of Neamț Monastery.
