DISCOURS AND THE FIVE-YEAR ENGAGEMENT OF THE SERBIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH DURING THE “MIGRANT CRISIS (2015)” – CONTRIBUTION TO THE NEXT STUDY (2017-2021)

Summary/Abstract: The four-part paper using the contextual method, which means the method of compilation and content analysis, presents chronologically the discourse and fiveyear engagement, i.e. the activities and contributions of the Serbian Orthodox Church in overcoming the “Migrant Crisis (2015)” in the period 2017-2021. The main thesis of the paper is the culmination of the “Migrant Crisis (2015)” and the engagement of the Serbian Orthodox Church on media, social, and ecumenical levels. The sources we used in the paper were official announcements, encyclicals, episcopal homilies, diocesan magazines and interviews by His Holiness Patriarch Porfirije and bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
