Summary/Abstract: This article analyses the socio-emotional context of the award as a tool for motivating the individual, which at the same time influences the environmental relations. The author made a historical reconstruction based on an analysis of personal documentary literature by referring to Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz’s jubilee award, and the Nobel Prize in Literature awarded to three Polish writers: two women – Wisława Szymborska and Olga Tokarczuk – and one man: Czesław Miłosz. The author’s findings and conclusions are related to the research hypotheses of Daniel H. Pinek.
