Summary/Abstract: Organizational leaders in modern organizations play an especially important role in conflict management. The leader-follower relationship is essential in leadership research because followers’ perceptions of their leader depend on how well he/she succeeds in instilling in them the sense of security they need. This paper focuses on the followers’ perspective, and in particular, how the followers perceive their superior’s leadership style, whether they perceive their leader as a security provider, and how they resolve organizational conflicts. This research aims at determining whether the perceived leadership styles and the perception of the leader as a security provider correlate with organizational conflict resolution styles in a random sample of workers (N = 90) in the food processing industry.
