Summary/Abstract: The article is dedicated to one of the most significant modern Bulgarian novels, Heights, which expresses, in a postmodern spirit and through a mixture of fictional skaz, irony, and parody, the image of the Bulgarian Renaissance – a model epoch that established the canon and the language of the Bulgarian worldview in literature. The skaz narrative strategy is analyzed through the general features of the narration: narrativity, the narrator‘s limited perspective, duality of viewpoint in stylistic terms, orality, and dialogicity. The article also focuses on the image of the narratorprotagonist and the plotcompositional features of the narrative.
