The centenary anniversary of the Ethnographic Museum of Transylvania (1922-2022). Exhibition "MET 100"

Summary/Abstract: The celebration of 100 years of existence of the Ethnographic Museum of Transylvania, among other activities, was the occasion for the opening of the photographic exhibition "MET 100". The panels of this exhibition were exhibited in the module on Heroes Boulevard in Cluj Napoca in July 2022 and later in the National Ethnographic Park "R. Vuia". The texts of the exhibition, accompanied by a very small part of the photographs published in the exhibition, will constitute this article.The exhibition "MET 100" brought to the public relevant aspects of the activity of the Ethnographic Museum of Transylvania (M.E.T.), a museum that today operates under the Cluj County Council.The Transylvanian Ethnographic Museum has set the Romanian ethnographic museography, has given it a framework and a horizon within which it has developed, has contributed substantially to the heritage education of the public, to the knowledge of the peasant and the rural space in Romania, as well as to the development of ethnological sciences in Romania.
