Summary/Abstract: According to many epithyimias given to our Orthodoxbelievers, anyone who wants to know God profoundly needs toread the Holy Scriptures of the New and Old Testament.Naturally, from the reading of the New Testament theyunderstand more easily the saving work, which the Son of Godaccomplished for us, because many fragments are also part of thepublic liturgical worship of the Orthodox Church, and afterpassing this first spiritually step, they reach the more difficultreading of the Old Testament. As they open its first pages, themysterious moment of the creations of the world and manappears before their eyes. But the interpretation of the text of theOld Testament is not easy, so they have to read alsocommentaries of the Holy Fathers, for a full understanding of theChristological meaning. However, the question is how did theIsraelites, its first readers, understand the creational text? Thisarticle wishes to outline the central idea that all creation isliturgically oriented. There is a mysterious connection betweencreation, man and Heaven, but also between man and God or God and the Sabbath. The objects created in the initial six days ofcreation are placed under the rule of man, the king of the visiblecreation, and he becomes a priest in the garden of Heaven, asymbol of the Tabernacle and the Temple in Jerusalem. Man isthe visible king of creation, and God its invisible king. “God’sentrance” into the world (macrocosm) and rulership of theuniverse is symbolized by His entry into the visible temple(microcosm) and the Sabbath/Rest celebration
