Summary/Abstract: In order to bring the younger generation closer to the Romanian history, we have created educational projects at the Prahova County Museum of History and Archaeology, Ploiesti, having as subject the events, personalities and moments that marked the history of Romania. One of the great women of our history, whose story deserves to be revealed to children from an early age, is Queen Marie of Romania. Queen Marie of Romania remained in our history as one of the most important female personalities at political, social and cultural level. This remarkable woman, through her devotion to Romania, enjoyed a constant appreciation until the end of her life from her people. Queen Mary was and remains until this day the sovereign most loved by the people. To find out where the admiration, respect and love of the Romanian people for this Englishwoman comes from, we can read the notes of diplomats, politicians and writers of the time who give her the most positive characteristics. Having read her autobiography, you discover a woman with a sensitive heart, gifted with a special beauty of soul, devoted to the Romanian people, whom she learned to love and loved until the end of her life. These museum pedagogy activities gave students the opportunity to discover the personality of Queen Mary and remind everyone of the great lesson that she taught the Romanian people, showing how to love their country. Queen Maria knew how to identify herself with the interests and aspirations of the Romanians, gaining immortality in their hearts. The queen’s autobiography and diary entries, testimonies from contemporaries and heritage objects formed the basis of a methodology that allowed children to immerse themselves in the world of history through a wonderful cultural exercise.
