Summary/Abstract: vantages The internet world, like any other world or environment needs Christianity. But this presence doesn`t need to be chaotic, but guided by Christian pastoral principles and adapted, that need to give a certain consistence, coherence, and unification of the Christian mission in general, and of the rightful one especially. Pastorship in the online environment needs a clear Christocentric view, maintaining the accuracy of the Holy Parents teaching. It must mind the traditional anthropological conception, incultured, incarnated in this specific environment. The Internet adapted theology is being more and more discussed because of the fact that it observes the specifications of online presence and relating. More studies are being made, some Christian, about the psychology of presence and inter human relating in the online environment. It is being discussed about the concrete implications on the users, of the new technological innovations in this area. Some talk about great advantages and exemplify: spiritual evenings with great confessors, with famous theologians, or broadcasting the religious services for worshippers that are incapable to participate physically in the church, but become partakers in the communal prayer through these online platforms. On the opposite pole are those who talk about some disadvantages: the decrease in empathy and in interhuman contact. Man is created to live in communion with his closed ones. The lack of presence to the holy services and Holy Sacraments bring the absence of some stimuli (touch, taste, smell) that the worshippers are being deprived of. The online pastorship appeared from the necessity of some worshippers and put the Church in the digital environment, like a natural response of the Orthodoxy in the face of today`s challenges. Even though it has got some limits, online pastorship brings a significant contribution in approaching some increasingly encountered problems in the postmodern society, in which man tends to isolate himself, having as a result the appearance of different psychological maladies, anxiety and other spiritual diseases based on lonliness.
