Summary/Abstract: “Följegyzések [Notes] does not present one’s days dwelling in Rome, or Csorba’s experiences in Rome in the first place, rather it revives the algorythm of taking possession of a “distant/foreign” place culturally.” In 1947-48 several notabilities of Hungarian intellectual life were guests of the Hungarian Academy in Rome. The young Győző Csorba’s notes were born at that time, which are scrutinized by the present review.
