Summary/Abstract: Bishop Peter from Monoszló genus and Duke Otto of Bavaria play a prominent role in that part of the Rhymed Chronicle of Ottokar of Styria (Ottokar aus der Gaal), which narrates the return of the Hungarian Holy Crown from Bohemia. This short paper seeks to answer the question of the authenticity of the data of the Rhymed Chronicle and how the figures of the Bishop of Transylvania and the Duke of Bavaria were portrayed by the author.
