ACTORS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

Summary/Abstract: In today's society, domestic violence is an extremely widespread phenomenon, being found both in rural communities and in the largest cities and urban settlements. The transition from a totalitarian state to a democratic rule has led to major changes in society as a whole, with Romania facing major changes of a political, economic, social and cultural nature. Along with the occurrence of these changes, the idea of family has also suffered, because, in the context of modern life, it is moving further and further away from its traditional model. The investigative approach consisted in conducting a quantitative research, the main tool being the questionnaire applied to a sample of 30 people, of which 28 came from urban areas and 2 from rural areas. The age of the respondents ranged from 20 to 65 years
