Summary/Abstract: This article aims to advance the idea of the network and the art management with regard to the following themes: (1) the recent development of networking in arts and art management, (2) followed by the formation of network thinking, and finally (3) cultural networks (European/global, regional and national) an assessment of the role of networks with regard to the participating actors and their interlinking within art organizations.
