ENGLISH PROFESSIONAL DISCOURSE IN CONTEXT HUMANITARIAN AND SCIENTIFIC PARADIGMS

Summary/Abstract: The relevance of the problem of English- language discourse in the paradigm of humanitarian knowledge is related to the transformation of the scientific picture of the world and reorientation to synergistic approaches. The English language, having a global status in the international scientific dimension, in addition to the usual translational and communicative functions, forms a conceptual understanding of science in general and its humanitarian cluster in particular. The purpose of the article is to highlight the specifics of using the English language in the context of humanitarian and scientific discourse. The goals of scientific intelligence are focused on defining clear guidelines for linguistic support of transformational processes in modern science. The research methodology is focused on the use of general scientific methods of mainly analytical nature. At the same time, taking into account the active use of interdisciplinary connections in research, the philosophical- scientific synergistic methodology has been updated. The content of the article involves highlighting the linguistic features of the positioning of the humanities. English- language discourse retains the status of a dominant informative and communicative element in the scientific picture of the world. This positioning requires not only the usual linguistic accompaniment of scientific activity, but also a clear conceptual understanding of the differentiation of scientific knowledge. The prospects for the study of English- language discourse in the system of humanitarian and scientific knowledge are the creation of a unified format of the universal language of science, in which the English language will become a system- creating element. Conclusions. Therefore, the English- language discourse is actively developing in the scientific space, successfully performing traditional informational and communicative functions. In addition, the English- language element is an important element in the construction of a conceptual vision of the development of humanitarian knowledge in the modern scientific paradigm.
