Summary/Abstract: In this paper we present the results of a geophysical survey conducted in a small area threatened by construction activities, located 25 km west of the city of Brăila. The aim of this study was to detect the exact location and size of a flattened mound, previously identified during a surface field survey by the team of archaeologists from the Museum of Brăila. In addition, it also intended to identify any potential funerary areas inside the tumulus. The surface was surveyed using a dual array fluxgate gradiometer. Magnetic data was complemented by magnetic susceptibility measurements and georadar profile.
