Summary/Abstract: After the 1944 coup, the new regime swiftly began to construct a system for social degradation, and in the not-too-distant future – for the liquidation of the „former“ pre-revolutionary elites. Several hundred thousand of their representatives were pushed, literally and figuratively, into a place that, using Stefan Bochev’s subtitle, we can call „Concentration Camp: Bulgaria“. The current article attempts to map this grim space and describe in more detail the forms of expropriation and discrimination in the second of its circles.
