Summary/Abstract: The Administrative Code introduces a few new elements in the field of administrative-disciplinary liability, from the introduction of new misconduct and disciplinary sanctions to the introduction of a correspondence between misconduct and disciplinary sanctions that specifies which sanctions that can be applied for each of the misconduct, depending on the seriousness of the offense. Before the entry into force of the Administrative Code, issues related to the administrative-disciplinary liability of civil servants were regulated by Law no. 188/1999 on the Statute of Civil Servants and Law no. 7/2004 on the Code of Conduct for Civil Servants. The Administrative Code aimed to bring together all legislation on the organization and functioning of the civil service, the civil servant's statute and the procedure of administrative-disciplinary liability of civil servants (Part VI).
