Summary/Abstract: This article analyzes the implementation of control and monitoring of social services by the municipality as the most significant body for their provision at the local level. The research focuses on the analysis of compliance with legal quality requirements by this defining local entity of social services and attempts to systematize the relevant powers and duties. The activities of the municipality to control and monitor the quality of social services, as well as the planned methods for their implementation, are the main subject of research in the article.
