The Components of a Chance for a Country’s “Autonomous” Development

Summary/Abstract: The article reproduces a slightly edited and expanded version of author’s ‘personal manifesto’ presented as a paper at the International Conference “Challenges of the current global uncertainty for transit states” (Astana, Kazakhstan, May 15, 2024), and previously (in 2022) proposed as the author’s discussion ideas for consideration by the experts at the “Kyiv Rysing” forum. In contrast to a strategy of conceptually and economically dependent development, the article offers some initial ideas related to working out of a strategy of relatively “autonomous” development of the country. In the current situation of almost total scarcity of resources in Ukraine, such a strategy would be a very difficult, but challenging and worthy endeavour
