Summary/Abstract: The subject of pseudonyms is a special phenomenon, which unfortunately remains to this day aside from research interests, especially in Bulgarian literature for children and adolescents. The article briefly examines the appearance of this phenomenon in literature in general, indicates the reasons for choosing a pseudonym, as well as the types of pseudonyms chosen by not only Bulgarian but also foreign artists.
