Summary/Abstract: Workers in manufacturing plants have to live with varying levels of noise pollution at their workplaces. People who work in constantly noisy work environments without hearing protection can suffer hearing loss over time. Research shows that the effects of noise levels of 80–85 dBA and above on human health can not only damage the ears, but also manifest themselves in the form of constant headaches, fatigue, cardiac arrhythmias and muscle tension. The concept of noise protection first emerged worldwide in the 1950s. Reducing machine noise, which is the main source of noise in companies, is of great importance for a healthy working environment. Noise can be defined as “loud sound” that not only disturbs people and poses a safety risk, but also harms our health and makes us restless. The aim of this study is to examine the changes in the internal noise pollution values of production facilities in 4 years and to reveal the reasons. For this purpose; in a large-scale PVC door, window and insulating glass production facility, the in-plant noise measurements made in 2019 were carried out again in 2023 after 4 years with similar conditions and characteristics, and the measurement results were re-evaluated for each measurement point. The compartments with increased indoor noise and their causes were investigated and recommendations were made to the company for remedial measures.
