Summary/Abstract: The article examines the different versions of the story of the Trojan War – ancient plots known in Bulgarian medieval literature as a result of translation work. The works are examined in the context of the medieval idea of the historical process. An attempt has been made to show the ways of adapting, rethinking and reassessing the works – through commentary and additions to the native history, by “inserting” into the world Byzantine chronicles, moving the corresponding text from the periphery of literary production to more elite compositions or by combining them with other works in collections of different function.
