Summary/Abstract: Solca Monastery Church was founded by ruler Ștefan Tomșa between 1612-1622. The original iconostasis of the church made by an unknown painter in 1613, was made of linden wood and gilded. It was moved to Arbore and from there to Dragomirna. In place of the old iconostasis, the tapestry from the Dragomirna Monastery was brought, which was restored in 1885, by Epaminonda Bucevschi in 1887. This new tapestry is painted in oil colors on a fir wood support, without a preparation layer. The state of preservation of the iconostasis and the icons that are in the church is precarious, which requires their urgent restoration.
