Summary/Abstract: This report distinguishes between 'skills for the future' and 'skills of the future'. As the author's idea is that the first phrase expresses the need to possess skills for the continuation of human existence, and the second - the possession of specific skills required by the change in the environment and the resulting new professions and related new skills of employees. The past-present-future triad is considered in the context of skills from two perspectives: 1. Economic - which points of their contribution to the development and enrichment of the labor market and 2. Psychological – which is focused on (d)evolution of personality and society.
