Summary/Abstract: The article presents the specific relationship between Wacław Rolicz-Lieder and Stefan George, giving a metacritical view of the change in research on the work of both poets. The analysis of Lieder’s poems help show how he distributes the proportions between the role of the sender and the recipient. Lieder’s polemic with the tradition of dedica- tion is revealed here, treating the extra-textual situation of offering a work as a pretext for self-exposition and self-creation.
