Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this study is to analyze the employment of retired officers of the Polish Army in the implementation of the concept of sustainable development by organizations. The concept of sustainability should be long-term, and its actions should be responsible. One of the measures taken could be the hiring of retired Polish Army officers. They are quite young for the status of a retiree, with high qualifications and relevant skills, who are completing their service and could continue to work using their competencies. The author presented the results of the study, which was conducted using a survey questionnaire. The questions were addressed to retired officers and employers/supervisors who employ retired officers. It is important for those who are still of working age to realize their potential in the labour market.
