Teaching Francophonie to students in scientific fields

Summary/Abstract: Francophonie represents one of the pillars of French language education, which is part of the plurilingual and pluricultural perspective theorized and promoted by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Francophonie is a political, linguistic, and cultural concept that also constitutes an object of French language teaching. In this article, we propose some guidelines for teaching Francophonie in scientific fields of academic studies. The objective is to demonstrate that Francophonie is an emerging concept that is (re)defined as a vector of opportunities in the Francophone scientific context.
