Summary/Abstract: Peter Bartl has shed his mortality. On the evening of March 29, the Albanian historian closed his eyes for the last time at the age of 84. The scientific and intellectual world of Albanology has lost one of its great scholars who dedicated his intellectual life and social commitment to the compact Albanian speaking area and the Albanian historical diaspora.
