Summary/Abstract: Alexandr Mulear is a reference name in the musical culture of the Republic of Moldova. He has been prodigiously active over the years in the field of musical creation in the triple role of composer, teacher and violinist. The genres addressed by A. Mulear extend over a vast compositional area. However, the share of instrumental works in A. Mulear's compositional portfolio is significant. Six miniatures for violin and piano is one of the creations that mark the stage of manifestation of the master's interest in the compositional experiment. The cycle is considered by the author as a representative work, allowing the identification of a whole range of creative issues relevant not only to the composer, but also to native musical composition at a certain stage of development.
